Welcome to GoProtein (“we,” “our” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern your use of our mobile and web applications (the “App”). By tapping I Agree or continuing to use the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, tap I Decline, and you will be exited from the App.

1. Disclaimer of Professional Advice

1.1 The App is a daily nutrient-tracking tool and does not provide medical, nutritional, or exercise advice.

1.2 You should not rely on the App for dietary recommendations, meal plans, exercise routines, or diagnosis and treatment of any condition.

1.3 Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, dietary restrictions, or exercise regimen.

2. No Responsibility for Misuse

2.1 You assume full responsibility for how you use the App and any consequences of your actions.

2.2 We are not liable for any misuse of the App, including, but not limited to:

Ignoring contraindications, allergies, or medical conditions.
Over- or underestimating portion sizes or nutrient values.
Sharing inaccurate data with third parties.

3. Data Sources & Accuracy

3.1 The App retrieves nutritional data—such as proteins, carbohydrates, and calories—from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) FoodData Central database: https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/.

3.2 While we strive to keep our database up to date, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy, and nutrient values may vary by brand, preparation method, or region.

3.3 You understand and agree that we are not responsible for any errors or omissions in the USDA data.

4. Trade names and trademarks

4.1 Trade names and trademarks referenced in this app are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for product identification and nutritional accuracy purposes. Such use does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or approval by the trademark holders. 'GoProtein' is not associated, sponsored, or authorized by any of the trademark owners referenced herein.

4.2 Some datasets come from third-party partners (e.g. food brands). Please check the source in the "dataSource" field and respect any additional restrictions.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 All code, design, graphics, and content in the App are the intellectual property of GoProtein and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

5.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or included data.

6. Privacy & Personal Data

6.1 Your personal data (e.g. profile name, weight, height, etc) is stored locally on your device or in secure storage (e.g., AsyncStorage).

6.2 We do not share your personal data with third parties, except when required by law.

6.3 Please review our Privacy Policy for more details on data handling.

6.4 The app has a backup page and make periodic backup of Custom Foods and History Log and you can export then to a safe location. We are not responsible for loss of data due to errors in your device.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall GoProtein, its officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use arising out of or in connection with the App.

7.2 Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to this Agreement or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to download or use the App.

8. Termination

8.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice.

8.2 Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease.

9. Changes to Terms

9.1 We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time.

9.2 We will notify you of any significant changes via an in-App notice or email. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction (e.g., the state or country where you reside), without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
